João Pedro Gonçalves (“Pedro”), joined EQT as Chief Information Security Officer in February 2019 to build and transform cybersecurity at EQT Group as well as supporting EQT digital business development team and investment professionals on new deals.

Prior to joining EQT, Pedro held a position as Head of Information Security at Qliro. Previously, Pedro was a manager at Ernst & Young were he worked with different organisations in dealing with cybersecurity and risk management. Pedro was also involved on Spotify and EQT IPO among others. Pedro has 12 years of experience working with cybersecurity, business continuity, risk management and, technology across several industries.

Pedro holds a Master and a Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Lisbon.
